LOVE HURTS

Why does love have to dig into the soul, like a well that’s drills for gold.
Digging deep down inside, in places you can’t hide,
till there’s no where left to go.

You betray your mind in hopes to find the lover to care for your core.
So you display your fears, expose your tears to reveal what love drills for.

The pain you feel would be worth the deal if the love in return was real
but the loss you were dealt was like nothing you felt
and now you are damaged material

In the past you took a chance to see what love was all about
But what you found let you down and now it seems there’s no way out.

Now today your in dismay you’ve been left alone and broken hearted
Afraid to risk another kiss to a stranger who could get you started

Never again you swear to God will you ever love another
Not today, on knees you pray could you ever

How do I miss you when all the time I’m with you, ahh yes unless your inside.
It hurts me so much just to feel your touch, yet from you I’ll never divide.

Why do I weep over strangers on the streets holding hands and being in love
Visualizing our dreams, so many they seem,
there like touching our heavens above

All the while your scared, always to beware, cause to love your so vulnerable

But your need to be loved has got you ready to
